Questions with a graduate - Nolan Jeffrey Denny

What is your name, age, school, and what community are you from?

My name is Nolan Jeffrey Denny and I am 19 years old from Eskasoni NS.

 

What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?

I was involved Relays and Interact club. I also help my mom coach basketball girl team from EEMS and won gold one year.

What’s your favourite subject in school?

My favourite subject in school was art class, Mi’kmaq class and any of Donnie Richards classes.

 

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?

Only place I love to go is NYC at time square to be myself.

 

What do you like to doin your spare time?

In my spare time I love play all my Gaming consoles and devices and go to the movies.

 

What are your plans for when you graduate, and why? What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?

I’m not sure yet and I hoping NSCC will help me with that decision.

 

Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?

My role model is my mother because she got her education while working and raising me so she bettered our future by becoming a teacher.

 

What is your best memory from your high school years?

My best memories are almost likely during my classes and after work activities.

 

What is the best thing about your school?

The best thing about my school is the education and after school activities.

 

Who has made an impact on you?

My grandparents and my mom.

Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?

I would like to see more after school hang out or activities even when I’m in college. (For people under the spectrum like me)

 

Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?

I would to thank my parents (Mandy and Donald) and grandparents. (Jeff and Ida) and aunties(Nadia, Anjilin, Asha, Jan, Sam) and uncles(Cag, Jordan and Carmen) for their support and taking me  to school when I was running late .
