Sheila Gould is the Elementary Literacy Consultant for Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey. Her position is key in the oversight of initiatives targeted towards the improvement of literacy levels among elementary students in the communities.

As part of the Academic Services team, she is responsible to encourage and promote early/elementary literacy best practices by coaching education staff in effective literacy practices and approaches, while building capacity and providing access to relevant and quality material to institutions in member communities.

Outside of Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey, Sheila enjoys spending time with family and friends and learning more about her own language and culture.
