The positive success story of the first year of this project is the White Bear Drum Group. This is a group of students from the We’koqma’q Mi’kmaw School and the students were able to learn the Mi’kmaw words to the Mi’kmaw songs and chants. As a result of their hard the drum group can perform at any community events and gatherings. The elders from the community are so proud of their hard work.
