Alwyn Jeddore is one of our Mi’kmaw Language Consultants. He is the son of Allan and Vivian Jeddore. Alwyn is married to Conchetta Jeddore is the father of have 3 beautiful children. I was born and raised in Eskasoni First Nation and currently lives in Sydney.
Alwyn grew up in a fluent Mi’kmaw speaking home, always surrounded by the language. He took an interest in the Mi’kmaw language after his first son was born and he realized that, since he was living in Sydney, he would be the only way this son would hear the language. He took it upon himself to continue learning and to learn more and more each passing day. Eventually, his learning became a passion that became his life’s work. “Our language is absolutely priceless and it is a gift that I love to share when given the opportunity to.”
