Beverly Jeddore is the Mi’kmaq Language Technician at MK since 2016. She delivers language to the communities of Acadia, Bear River, Annapolis Valley & Glooscap through zoom & polycom. She develops materials for MK schools, Provincial schools, parents, and community members who want to revitalize, preserve, and learn Mi’kmaw.

Beverly is a former teacher at the Eskasoni School. Her work involved developing curriculum from Primary toGrade 3 for the Immersion School in Eskasoni. The curriculum team developed materials for Math, Science,Social Studies, Health, and Language Arts.

Beverly had many roles in the 28 years in Eskasoni but her passion was Mi’kmaw Language. She developed a curriculum for Core Mi’kmaw and then she landed a position for the Immersion Program as the Resource teacher.

Beverly lives in Eskasoni with her little dog LILO. She is the mother of four children, George, Patrick, Adrienne, & Sarita, a grandmother & great grandmother. She is the daughter of the late Noel R & Sarah Denny and is the third youngest of 12 children. Beverly is a chanter of traditional Mi’kmaw chants & songs, a hymn singer &prayers, and an a kojua dancer with the Denny Family Mi’kmaw Dancers.

In her spare time, Beverly enjoys camping in the summer with her Sanibel RV at Ben Eoin and travelling with Angela her little motor home to various Mi’kmaw communities especially Potlotek. She loves Bingo, playing cards, family gatherings, singing Karaoke and visiting her family & friends.
