As we became familiar with the podcast process and equipment, each
interview improved. With practice and training we were able to
produce podcasts at our home and the community elders cabins.
The most positive outcomes came from the discussions with each
interviewee around their personal experience and thoughts on
language healing, language trauma and what's working for the
community of Sipekne’katik. What we didn't expect was witnessing
self reflection and healing taking place for guests as they shared.
Interviews often ended with participants showing a sense of
revitalization, passion and motivation for the language. Our hopes
are that this carries over to our audience and community listeners.
