What is your name, age, school, and what community are you from?
My name is Dallas Peter-Paul from sipeknekatik, I am 18 years of age and graduating from HERH.
What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?
From grade 10 to 12 I’ve been apart of CEP throughout high school. After school I’ve been with Indian Brook volunteer fire department for over 3 years.
What's your favourite subject in school?
I’ve never really been a huge fan of school but if I had to choose I'd say math.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I’d go back to Cuba. I made many friends and memories in Cuba so id love to go back and visit my Cuban friends.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy volunteering my time at the fire department, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends, and getting myself more certifications.
What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?
I plan on finishing my heavy equipment operators course, getting my yellow helmet for the fire department, raising my son, and being successful.
What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
I see myself working hard to provide for my family and son, being able to afford the things we want in life, having a beautiful place we can call home, and owning my own equipment.
Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?
I’d have to say my mother. She’s always there for me when I needed it most, and always supportive.
What is your best memory from your high school years?
I don’t specifically have a favourite or best memory from my high school years but I'd have to say it would be spending time with my family and friends throughout the years and being in the fire department.
What is the best thing about your school?
I’d say most teachers being supportive and understanding.
Who has made an impact on you?
Many people for many different reasons.
Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?
I’d hope to see a new fire department in the upcoming years due to everything we do for the community and us not having enough room or capability’s for newer equipment or better training exercises.
Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?
