If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?

What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?
My plans after high school is to become a medical ultrasound technician. I applied to the diagnostic medical ultrasound program held at Dalhousie University, its a 4 year program in the bachelors of health sciences. I would love to be a part of the medical field to help people in our community and find the right diagnosis and treatments and provide the best patient care.
What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
In 10 years I hope to see myself fully graduated from school and working as an ultrasound technician. I'd love to have my own home, and maybe a family and to be proud of how far I've come as someone who helps others every day.
Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?
Yes, my role model would be my dad. He's taught me to never give up on school and to always study hard to have a good future and he reminds me he's proud of me and to continue what I'm doing. He's shown me unconditional love and I think that's the best support.
What is your best memory from your high school years?
My favourite memory from my highschool years is going on the grad trip. It was an amazing time and experience and I've learned a lot and became closer with my classmates and teachers. Leaving to Florida was my first time flying and leaving the province that's what made it more special to me.
What is the best thing about your school?
The best thing about my school is how supportive some of our ABMHS staff are. There were times I wanted to give up but they stood by me and pushed me through.
Who has made an impact on you?
Someone who has made an impact on me is my older sister Lacie Phillips. She's shown me a good example on how I should continue my future. She's guided me through my teenage years and has step by step shown me what to do as I got older and has been by my side since she moved out at a young age. She's helped me apply to universities and has given me the encouragement to go wherever I wanted to go in the world to study, when everyone else doubted me. She's smart, kind and someone I'll forever look up to. She's been a great example of staying strong and motivated, and that's helped me continue with my journey.
Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?
Something that would help Eskasoni be a better place would be homeless shelters, women shelters, mental health support groups. Anything to help our people in the community to become stronger.
