What is your name, age, school, and what community are you from?

Hi my name is Rylee Paul, I’m 19 years old I was born and raised in Eskasoni

What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?

I played for are high school basketball team in 2022 and 2023.

‍
What’s your favourite subject in school?

‍
Currently I’m really interested in oceans and tourism.

‍
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?

‍
Italy, I find it to be genuinely the prettiest place ever.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

‍
I love to bead, hang out with my friends and family, take my dog for walks up the cross.

What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?

‍
I will be taking a year off of school to focus on my family and animals, then by 2026 I plan to be back in school for tourism, then later on I will pursue psychology.

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?

Laying on a big couch, watching tv, enjoying life.

Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?

‍
My late godmother Angie sa’n is my biggest role model, and also my grandmother/mother Brenda Paul. She has been my rock during all of my years in school. If it wasn’t for her and the support she gives me I wouldn’t be here today.

What is your best memory from your high school years?

When my whole friend group was in school with me I miss the grads of 2024 lol

What is the best thing about your school?

‍
Our principal is honestly one of the best never seen someone love their job like she does.

Who has made an impact on you?

My godmother's death has made the biggest impact on me. I got myself up everyday because I knew if she were here she’d love to see me and my godbrother Bradley graduating together.

Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?

A community shelter like the women’s shelter in Whycocomagh.

Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?

Be kind to everyone, especially urself.
