2026 Graduate Interview - Ava Falls

What is your name, what school do you attend, and what community are you from?

 My name is Ava Falls. I go to Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School, and I'm from Wasoqopa'q

What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?

I was involved in many groups. Social Media Coordinator for Student Council, HPS Student Lead, Grad Committee President, Volleyball on Club de Clare, YCMHS Varsity Volleyball and YCMHS Varsity Softball 

What’s your favourite subject in school?

Science is my favourite subject.

 

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?

I'd go to Australia because I would like to experience the very different environment and animal life.

 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

 In my spare time I like to play sports, do crafts, and hang out with friends and family.

What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?

I want to go into Nursing.  I want to be a Nurse Practitioner because I want to help people.

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?

Hopefully working in a clinic or my own practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

 

Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?

My parents are my role models because of everything they've taught me.

 

What is your favourite memory from your high school years?

 my favourite memories are playing sports with my friends and having that experience with them.

What is the best thing about your school?

The diversity and support that is there, and the opportunities given to the students.

 

Who has made an impact on you?

 Everyone throughout my life who has been there for me.

Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?

 More support inside of the classroom, and more support getting students ready for after high school.

Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?

Thank you to everyone that has pushed me to be a better person.
