2026 Graduate Interview - Aveda Googoo

June 23, 2026

What is your name, what school do you attend, and what community are you from?

My name is Aveda Googoo. I attend Allison Bernard Memorial High School, and I’m from Wagmatcook.

What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?

I was apart of Techsploration and the Prom Committee.

What’s your favourite subject in school?

My favourite subject is Chemistry.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?

I would love to go to Greece because the views are so beautiful.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spending time with my family & friends, cruising with friends, and I also love shopping.

What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?

I am going for my Bachelor of Science Undergraduate at Cape Breton University, then going into Dentistry at Dalhousie.

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?

I see myself creating a life of peace and happiness, along with success. I also see myself being a dentist and helping people be able to smile with pure confidence!

Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?

My role model is my dad, Craig Paul. He has countlessly worked so hard to give me and my twin sister the life we deserve. He has showed me unconditional love and kindness. He continues to show up and I’ll forever be grateful for him. I also couldn’t thank him enough for raising me the way he did and everything he has done for me and my family.

What is your best memory from your high school years?

My best memory is my grad trip to Florida. I got to experience Disney with my friends.

What is the best thing about your school?

The best thing at my school is the staff at abmhs that bring our school to life. They have always encouraged me to become the best version of myself. I have made such great bonds with most teachers at abmhs and I am so grateful for them to have taught me.

Who has made an impact on you?

Newell Johnson has made an impact on me, she is a real superhero of our community. She has showed so much love and kindness to everyone around her. I inspire to be just like her one day, a very strong and considerate woman who does nothing but the best for her school and community. She is the best principal ever!!

Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?

I would love to see a community pool and a library!

Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?

What is meant for you will never pass you by.
