What is your name, what school do you attend, and what community are you from?
My name is Danika Lafford-Desmond, I attend EAEC/A and I am from Paqtnkek.
What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?
Jr Chief and Council, I was on Student Council and Techsploration.
What’s your favourite subject in school?
Biology.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I would go to Japan because it is beautiful there.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to listen to music, watch movies, play with my dog.
What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?
I plan to attend STFX to get a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, because I want to understand why people are the way they are, and why they do the things they do.
What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
I see myself owning my own business as a psychologist, somewhere near my community so I can support them.
Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?
My role model is my mom, because she does a lot for other people and is always there for me.
What is the best thing about your school?
There is a lot of inclusion and support.
Who has made an impact on you?
Mr. Brown, he is always reminding me I was a good role model and leader.
Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?
I would like to see more support for Academics, such as tutoring.
