What is your name, what school do you attend, and what community are you from?
My name is Mar Peters, I attend EAEC/A and I am from Paqtnkek First Nation
What clubs, teams, or groups are you involved in at school, and after-school?
I am apart of the art club and O2 program.
What’s your favourite subject in school?
My favourite subject was construction, cause I got to learn things that will help me further myself in a career with trades.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I would go to Australia because that is where Steve Irwin lived and I would like to go to the Australia Zoo to see their Croc Show.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like playing games, having fires with friends and going on walks with my dogs.
What are your plans for when you graduate, and why?
I am going to NSCC for their Electrical Construction and Industrial Program.
What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
In ten years I see myself obtaining a Red Seal from my program, and making lots of money and taking care of my family.
Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?
Kia is my role model because she actually has to listen to what we say and talk to us, treating us as if we are young adults.
What is your best memory from your high school years?
One of my favourite memories is playing poker games under the staircase during recess and lunch.
What is the best thing about your school?
The fact that our school is accepting of any and all people.
Who has made an impact on you?
My friend Billy Sullivan has impacted me greatly teaching me that no matter how different I am, he will always be there for me during ups and downs and treat me no differently no matter what.
Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?
My favourite saying is "shut up the duck up”
