The installation of a sensory path on took place on June 29th at Maupeltuewey Kina'matno'kuom to support movement breaks for students. The sensory path is a guided route in the school hallway featuring floor decals that directs students through a series of physical movements like hopping, balancing, and stretching, providing movement breaks that help regulate emotions and improve focus. The students will start the school year in September with a fun challenge on their way to class! Thanks to Principal Lucy Joe, Primary Teacher Natasha Bernard and Autism Teacher Specialist, Ambrah MacNeil for working together on a great project!
The diverse learners from Eskasoni ventured out to Two Rivers Wildlife Park on Monday June 29th for a Grading Day celebration. As always, it’s a fun time with this group and we wish them a great summer.

Early Childhood Education
June 9th is Early Childhood Educator appreciation day in Nova Scotia. We wanted to show our appreciation to all of the staff who work in Early Childhood Education so this year we delivered hoodies to all of our ECE teachers across the province.

On June 11, Early Childhood Educators from across the province took part in a networking session in Eskasoni. Their agenda for the day included a circle of their success stories and challenges, a site visit to the Eskasoni Head Start space to and a presentation from Jolene Claire on the neurodiverse took kit she developed.

Post Secondary
Our Post Secondary team had a busy month. They have been workign in communities across the province to offer Canadian Adult Education Credential(CAEC) testing. They are now able to offer this mobile testing to anyone wishing to take the test in their own communities.
On June 15th, a Fly Fishing session was held in Malagawatch for youth with teaching from Skylar Jeddore. Although it was a very cold day, the turnout was great and all of the youth enjoyed the day. Every participant was able to take home their own rod so they can continue fishing on their own.
