What is your name, age, school, and what community are you from?
My name is Maureen Michelle Paul I’m 17 years old and I’m from Eskasoni.
What’s your favourite subject in school?
My favourite subjects are oceans, geology, bio and business technology.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I would go to Hawaii because I love the weather there.
What do you like to doin your spare time?
I like to play video games or paint.
What are your plans for when you graduate, and why? What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
My plan is to go to CBU, take a BA and hopefully one day become a therapist for mental health.
Do you have a role model? If so, who? And why?
My role model is my oldest sister Mary Elizabeth Paul because of her dedication to school, her family, and her children.
What is your best memory from your high school years?
My best memory was my grade 9 year because that was before covid, there wasn’t any restrictions and everyday something fun would be happening.
What is the best thing about your school?
I love how close everyone is and how everyone knows everyone.
Who has made an impact on you?
My mom has made an impact on me because of her encouragement to continue to go to school every day.
Is there something you'd like to see in your school or community that isn't there now?
More subjects in school is something i’d love to see, I feel like our school is very limited.
Do you have any words of advice, a personal favourite quote, or a thank-you?
I think some of my advice for freshmen is to try your hardest in school for every subject even if you hate it, in the end it’s all worth it.
