Our 19th Annual Sport Summit, held from November 12 - 14 in Dartmouth was a vibrant celebration of learning, leadership, and community pride. Participants from across our communities gathered to hear inspiring presentations from provincial sport leaders and local community sport champions. Their stories, insights, and shared experiences set the tone for an energizing two days focused on developing skills, confidence, and opportunities in sport.
Always a favourite part of the summit is learning a new sport and this year's hands-on training was held at the BMO Soccer Centre in Halifax. Participants rotated through engaging sessions in rugby and soccer, guided by experienced coaches who created a fun and welcoming environment for all skill levels. Everyone pushed their abilities and loved being able to try something new.

The highlight of each summit is the banquet where we induct new members into the Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Sports Hall of Fame. We love having the opportunity to celebrate those whose dedication, leadership, and passion continue to inspire the next generation. Wela’lioq to all nominees and inductees. Your hard work and commitment strengthen Mi’kmaw sport across the province.
