On December 4–7, youth took part in a powerful and engaging Mi’kmaw Language Immersion Camp Weekend i Debert. Throughout the camp, participants attended classes with Mi’kmaw language teachers, where they strengthened their language skills through listening, speaking, and hands-on learning.
Youth listened to traditional stories, played waltes and other language-based games, took part in meaningful ceremonies, and created crafts together. The weekend was filled with learning, laughter, and cultural connection, providing a supportive space for youth to deepen their relationship with the Mi’kmaw language and culture.
