September 10th was such a special day at the We’koqma'q school as we celebrated the soft book launch of the Ma'kit's Doll book, written by her daughters with support from Bobbilee Dennis and Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey. Special thanks to the illustrator Brayden Paul of Eskasoni.
The date was chosen to launch the book because it marked three years since Ma'kit's passing and it was a beautiful way to honour her memory. Copies of the book will be provided to the language teachers in all MK schools.
