Monday May 12 was the inaugural celebration of Mi’kmaw Language Day in Nova Scotia! This special day will now be celebrated on the Monday after Mother's Day annually. An event was held at the Museum of Natural History which included knowledge sharing, celebrations of culture, and a tour of the new exhibit, Pjila'si.
We would also like to acknowledge our Gaelic friends Lewis MacKinnon and Shannon MacMullin who joined us in celebration of our special day which takes place during Gaelic Nova Scotia Month.
