Kespukwitk communities come together to celebrate language

Four of our MK communities; Bear River, Glooscap, Annapolis Valley First Nation and Wasoqopa'q are all collaborating on regional Mi'kmaw immersion days to share resources, ideas and teachers. This month, Glooscap hosted the session.

The event was very well attended, with 4 teachers and over 40 participants present for the whole day, which included language lessons, language games, and cultural teachings.

We love seeing this kind of collaboration and dedication to learning and using Mi'kmaw! Each of the communites will take a turn hosting the others over the course of the year.
