This summer, a group of Mi’kmaw students had the exciting opportunity to attend a veterinary camp at the University of Prince Edward Island. Throughout the week, students took part in hands-on activities that introduced them to animal care and veterinary science, sparking curiosity about future careers in the field.
In addition to their time on campus, the group explored some of PEI’s best attractions. They visited a historic working farm, enjoyed rides and games at Sandspit, splashed at Shining Waters, and capped off their days with fun outings like ice cream and movies.
The camp was a balance of learning, adventure, and friendship—an experience that students will remember for years to come.
