We hosted the Mi’kmaw Language Educators Networking Day on Saturday, January 24. Our lead presenter was the amazing Elder Bessie Prosper, assisted by her daughter, Rita Gould. Participants were fully engaged as Bessie shared her teachings on making Lu’sknikn, along with stories about her many years of making it. Everyone had the opportunity to create their own, guided by Bessie and Rita throughout the session. The day was filled with meaningful learning and positive feedback, especially appreciation for learning directly from Mrs. Bessie. The session was recorded and a copy will be shared with participants once editing is complete.
