This spring, Mi’kmaw student athletes from communities across Nova Scotia came together to compete in the annual MK Track Meets, held in late May and early June.
The events provided students with the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities and connect with peers from across the province. Participants competed in a variety of track and field events, cheering one another on and celebrating personal achievements along the way.
The MK Track Meets continue to be an important opportunity for students to stay active, build confidence, and represent their schools and communities with pride.
Our Student Services team - Ambrah MacNeil and Doreen Stevens set up a sensory space at the event again this year. This space is always appreciated by students who just need a little down time during such an exciting day!
