Youth, Elders, and community members from across the province gathered in Membertou during the final weekend of March Break for the Ta'n Telo'ltik Winter Gathering. The weekend was filled with meaningful learning, cultural sharing, and connection.
Participants took part in workshops, including sessions on cultural regalia protocols led by Kate Jadis and Leon Julian, as well as a food security workshop with Ernest and Miney Johnson. Everyone enjoyed these sessions which offered important knowledge rooted in tradition and well-being.
Throughout the weekend, attendees also had the opportunity to explore hands-on cultural crafts such as medicine pouch making, basket bracelets, and quillwork.
Evenings were filled with lively Waltes games and entertainment, creating space for laughter, storytelling, and community bonding.
The Ta'n Telo'ltik Winter Gathering was a great experience, bringing people together to celebrate culture, share knowledge, and build lasting connections.
