This summer, youth ages 15–19 took part in a week-long training program at NSCC Port Hawkesbury, earning their Marine Emergency Duties and Domestic Vessel Safety certifications. Throughout the course, students gained valuable skills for working safely on the water and learned what it takes to be part of the marine industry.
In the evenings, the group also enjoyed cultural activities, which created opportunities to connect, share, and learn together. By the end of the week, every student successfully achieved their certificates—a proud accomplishment that opens doors to future opportunities.
