On October 2–3, leaders from across Mi’kma’ki gathered in Halifax for the Treaty Education Symposium.

The 2025 Annual Indigenous Youth Trades Fair was held in Halifax from October 15–17, bringing together nearly 80 Indigenous youth from across Nova Scotia, with priority given to Mi’kmaw students in grades 11 and 12.

September 10th was such a special day at the We’koqma'q school as we celebrated the soft book launch of the Ma'kit's Doll book.
We are a unified team of chiefs, staff, parents and educators who advocate for and represent the educational interests of our Mi'kmaq communities. We also protect the Educational & Mi’kmaw Language Rights of the Mi’kmaq people.
At our core: We exist to serve and support our communities in whatever way we can - supporting Mi'kmaq learning, creating unique & helpful resources for our schools and communities, and hosting events that help the growth of our people!
We support Mi'kmaq schools & other educational platforms throughout Nova Scotia, assisting with professional development, Mi'kmaq specific learning techniques, and much more!
